Bahamas Hotel, Torquay

Torquay is located in South Devon in the area of Torbay which, due to its temperate climate, is known as the English Riviera.

The most direct route from the Midlands and the North is along the M5 to its southern extremity at Exeter. From London and the Home Counties the two main routes are via the M4 to Bristol or the A303 to Exeter, in both cases linking up with the southbound M5.

At the end of the M5 at Exeter, the road becomes the A38. Follow the A38 until it separates into the A30/A380. Take the A380 towards Torquay. This is dual carriageway through to the Penn Inn roundabout at Newton Abbot. Here, take the second exit signposted Torquay A380 and continue on this road until you reach the English Riviera roundabout.

At the English Riviera roundabout go straight on, following the A3022 into Torquay. Keep to the left hand lane for approximately 2 miles until you see, on the right hand side, Torre Railway

Station and a Halfords store - turn right at the traffic lights (signposted Seafront, Harbour, Paignton) into Avenue Road.

The Bahamas is situated approximately half a mile down on left-hand side (after the set of traffic lights at Old Mill Road/Mill Lane) opposite Cockington Primary School playing field.
